Activities in the Area

There is a great variety of things to do in the area, so we have listed a few, all within 10 miles of Tyn y Berth Hall:

• For the immediate, stunning surroundings get out and explore Snowdonia National Park, and visit the local organisation ecodyfi's information page for visitors to find out what's on in the local area
• For keen cyclists we have bike hire at Dolgellau Cycles and Mountain Biking Wales will give you a whole variety of routes to discover
• The Dyfi Active site will give you numerous ideas for more adventurous activities , as will Up4Adventure and the Mountain Centre Tyn y Berth (opposite Tyn y Berth Hall)
• If it's golf you are after, Aberdovey Golf club welcomes day visitors
• The Talyllyn Railway will delight steam enthusiasts as well as provide real family fun
• King Arthur's Labyrinth and the Corris Craft Centre offer great family entertainment too, either inside old mines, in Welsh craft shops or on the children's play areas
• Clay shooting could provide hours of entertainment for you all
• Pony trekking for all abilities can be found at Bwlchgwyn Farm
• The famous Centre for Alternative Technology is just down the road from Tyn y Berth Hall and well worth a visit
• The area hosts the excellent on-going Dyfi Osprey project (as seen on Springwatch) which is certainly worth visiting (check that the birds are around first on the website)
• In November Machynlleth has a unique Lantern festival which is fun to attend, as well as a Festival at the Museum of Modern Art Wales in the summer
• If it's pampering you are after, Plas Talgarth Hotel spa will be just the place for you.
• There is fishing in Talyllyn as well as River fishing in the area. We can pre-book licenses for you, if that would save you precious holiday time.
