Services and other information
- PHONES. Most mobiles work, some need you to stand on one leg in the corner of the lounge.
- BROADBAND - Internet access is available at the Library in Machynlleth.
- Tyn Y Berth Hall is centrally heated with the benefit of some underfloor heating and an open fire in the main living room. A basket of logs and a bucket of coal are provided on arrival. Further supplies can be bought locally.
- Bedding and towels are provided except in the case of some special offers.
- A tv (free channels) and DVD/video player is provided..(but there is so much to do you won't have time). CD player, toaster, dishwasher, double-oven, two fridges, freezer, washing machine,tumbledrier, microwave, games, books , microscope, telescope, guitar and amplifier and equipment, art materials, Eisel etc.
- We welcome responsible pet owners. Please keep pets on a lead. Pets are not allowed upstairs and you must provide your own basket and blanket so that pets do not go onto seating.
- Smoking is not allowed in the Hall. There is a conservatory attached for this purpose.
- Refuse is collected every other Thursday, please put bin down lower drive by grass verge on Wednesday evening. Also recycling blue box is collected every Thursday.
- Please tell all members of your party that access to the house is not before 16.30 on arrival day and you need to vacate by 10.00 a.m. on departure day, unless otherwise agreed. I am sorry we have to be strict with these times, as it is quite a challenge to do the change-over in this time.
- For those with young Children
A travel cot is provided.
Please be aware there are small ponds.
Tyn Y Berth is set back 50 yds from the road and has two drives.
There are no gates at the entrance.
Stone/slate walls are a feature of the area. For safety sake please don't allow children to play on or near walls. - Pubs and church about one mile.
- Shops and railway station around six miles.
- Buses will usually stop at the end of the drive. There is a bus stop 1/4 mile away.
- Cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel your booking giving three months notice. Likewise you can cancel your booking giving three months notice.
- Less than the three months' notice of cancellation period, your deposit is refundable if we can re-let to someone else and we will always do our best.
If we cannot re-let then you will be responsible for the whole amount. - Your damage deposit is £150. Please leave things as you found them, oven clean, crockery put away, furniture in place. Small breakages are not a problem. If we have to employ extra labour to clean up, if there is damage to furnishings, then we will negotiate with you to find a satisfactory solution - We have never had to do this.
- Most important- treat it like home, relax and enjoy the books and CDs. the art and music, the games, dressing up box and things to do. Thanks for your booking. Phil and Ann Wheeler.
