  • Castel Y Bere.  Wonderful castle ruins a bike ride away nr Abergynolwern.

  • Machynlleth. 6 Miles away. A pretty market town with ancient parliament buildings and exhibition on Owain Glyndwr. Tourist information. Leisure centre.Good shopping and eating. Railway Station.
  • Corris. Pretty village, newly restored Institute with  snooker table.
  • Dolgellau. Historic and beautiful town.
